Before Lisa Bryan began meal prepping several years ago as a way to save time and money, she quickly became tired of eating boring leftovers and wasting food. Her debut cookbook is packed with 100+ simple and ingenious big-batch recipes that can either be frozen or repurposed into totally different, delicious meals.
A dinner of Coconut Chickpea Curry with rice can be enjoyed the next day as a tostada at lunch, and a side of peas and crispy prosciutto becomes breakfast when you add a jammy egg on top.         Bryan, author of the popular Downshiftology blog and YouTube channel, brings her innovative approach to meal prep to a wider audience in her new gluten-free cookbook. Perfect for both experienced meal preppers and those who are new to meal planning, the book is divided into three sections: highlighting individual meal prep ingredients, quick-assembly meals, and more complex recipes. Readers will find much inspiration in the 100-plus whole foods-forward, gluten-free recipes, which include everything from breakfast to dessert, not just the usual meal-prep lunch and dinner staples. Bryan also provides a detailed guide to the ways that recipes from all three sections of the book can be mixed and matched, either in individual meals or over the course of a full day or week. A detailed introduction and extensive sidebars on choosing ingredients, food storage, and reheating for future use are also helpful for readers of all experience levels.
