      • content: Trying to stave off the dark forces of the universe is nothing new for Kit and Nita, or the senior wizards who mentor them, but this latest threat seems to be neutralizing the wizards' power as it moves in. Before tackling the eighth in the wizard series, listeners might want to listen to at least one earlier book. Christina Moore brings her usual focus and intensity to her narration. Many of the characters return with their familiar voices, with a number of new characters to round out the mix.
