Taylor Blake has traveled to Savannah to help her sister Allison make her old-fashioned candy store a sweet success. She also attends Allison's "Dream Club," where members meet weekly to analyze their dreams. Taylor can't help but be judgmental of Allison's pastimes, but when local dance instructor Chico Hernandez is murdered, one club member's dream bears a startling resemblance to the event. Taylor and the Dream Club get further involved when Allison becomes the prime suspect after it's revealed that she had a fling with Chico. Throw in a chance reunion with her former FBI-agent boyfriend, and Taylor has all the makings of a living nightmare. VERDICT Kennedy, who previously penned the "Talk Radio Mystery" series, introduces a fresh premise to the cozy genre. Balancing a murder plot with humorous characters and a genteel Southern setting, this is a terrific start to a new series.
