All is well and good, but things get difficult when the pair realize they're both interning at Boomerang and vying for the one job available at the end of the summer. Mia is an aspiring filmmaker and desires the position to prove she can make it on her own as a professional; Ethan just needs a paycheck now that his college days are done and his student loans are looming. Competing with each other is bad enough, but the powerful attraction they feel creates more complications than either wants. When Mia Galliano snags the internship of her dreams in L.A., she decides that going out for a drink is the only proper way to celebrate. So how did one drink lead to her waking up in a way-too-sexy stranger's bed with only one hour to get to her new internship? What was his name again? Ethan Vance wakes to find a beautiful girl scrambling around his apartment, looking for her underwear. Amused, but also running late, Ethan suggests sharing a cab into the city. Little do they know they're going to the same place, for the same internship. Mia and Ethan are insanely attracted to each other and really hit it off, so working together should be a breeze, right? Right, except that the company has a strict no-dating policy between coworkers and only one of them will walk away with a job offer. Boomerang, the first book in a new series by August, is a flirty, hilarious read.
