Rose sends out her Sacramento trilogy (after Say No More) with an irresistible, heart-pounding thrill ride. FBI Special Agent Tom Hunter is determined to find and shut down Eden, the corrupt, violent, and well-funded religious cult that victimized his friends Gideon Reynolds and Mercy Callahan as children. Now the cult is holding pregnant teenager Hayley Gibbs and her 12-year-old brother, Graham, hostage at their compound in northern California, though no one knows where. Combat medic Liza Barkley, Tom’s best friend, is all-in on the rescue mission. Ignoring Tom’s wish that she stay safe, she goes undercover as a nursing assistant in a private hospital where Eden’s leader, the Pastor, is recovering with his murderous second-in-command, DJ Belmont. As DJ racks up a body count, both Tom and Liza are thrown in jeopardy, and their friendship evolves into love as they fight for their lives. The twisty plot will keep readers on the edges of their seats as they’re led through a dizzying maze of dangerous situations and even more dangerous villains.
