When Biscuit's owner suggests a walk to Grandpa's house, Biscuit barks enthusiastically. The dog, however, has to dig, roll, and visit with animals along the way. Eventually he breaks away from his owner and runs into a store, where they find Grandpa. Appealing illustrations, lots of repetition, and an easily followed story line make this a good choice for emergent readers.
