"Hayley Burke is determined to make the First Edition Library a success in every way but was not counting on having to solve an old friend's murder in this all-new mystery from USA Today bestselling author Marty Wingate. I am happy to report that I am finally settling in to my position as curator of Lady Fowling's collection of first edition mysteries at the First Edition Library in Middlebank House. I have even made progress with Lady Fowling's former secretary, the ornery Mrs. Woolgar. But my biggest challenge is yet to come. I have decided to put on an exhibition that will showcase Lady Fowling's life and letters. I know I may be in over my head, but as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Oona feels this book could be the focal point of the exhibition and becomes obsessed with finding it. When clues surface that point to the book being somewhere in the First Edition Library, Oona is certain she has unraveled the mystery. I rush to meet her, thinking I have found the key to the whole exhibit, but instead, I find Oona dead in a twisted heap at the bottom of the stairs. Did Oona's discovery of the rare book get her killed or was it some angry shadow from her past? I have no idea, but I will use my wits and every ounce of help I can get from my friends to read between the lines and catch a malicious murderer"--
