General Note
Follows the story of Buck, born into a domesticated life in California, through his travels to Alaska and then the Yukon Territory frontier. He experiences a hard life under cruel and demanding masters, until he is rescued by a benefactor who recognizes him as an exceptional animal. Though he comes to love his new master, Buck is drawn to the wilderness when he encounters a wolf from a local pack. When he realized his "old life" is behind him, he follows the call of the wild by joining the wolf and his pack.
