This fictional autobiography explores the author's New York boyhood and adolescence, and his sexual awakening and adventures. Miller also gives a fictionalised account of his time as company spy and personnel manager for the "Cosmodemonic Telegraph Company", raging at the social evils of the American free enterprise twenties.
