"A series of twelve reproductions of early California lithographs, one of which ... [was] distributed each month to members of the Book Club of California. Each unit of the series has been designed by a different printer and limited to 700 copies."

Complete in 12 parts,each a four page brochure measuring 8" x 10". with printed note by the publisher laid in to each number. Housed in publisher's protective cloth folder and quarter blue morocco slipcase with raised bands and gilt lettered morocco spine labels.

Some parts are accompanied by a form letter by Oscar Lewis, secretary of the club, transmitting the lithograph and announcing the next.
