Description
New York Times–Bestselling Author: "Intricate, fast-paced, and intense, this riveting thriller blends romance and suspense in perfect combination." —Library Journal
New York's Diamond District has already been hit by a rash of robberies. Now Kieran Finnegan is caught in the middle of one. The criminal psychologist was trying to "unsteal" a stone taken by her light-fingered youngest brother. But try telling that to the hardnosed FBI agent, Craig Frasier, who saves her from the thieves.
When the robberies turn violent, the police and FBI wonder if there may be two gangs: the original and a copycat group using the crime to cover a murder. The killers seem to think their scheme is as flawless as the stones they steal.
Thrown together by circumstance, Kieran and Craig are both assigned to the case. But to Kieran's horror, there's more and more evidence indicating that her family's pub, Finnegan's on Broadway, is somehow involved. Because everyone goes to Finnegan's—and someone doesn't want the cracks in their plans revealed . . .
"Graham stands at the top of the romantic suspense category." —Publishers Weekly

Graham's flawed contemporary romance linking a reverse diamond thief with an FBI agent isn't the gem it could be. Stilted dialogue and a slender premise doom what might have been a lovely affair between criminal psychologist Kieran Finnegan and FBI Agent Craig Frasier. When Kieran's brother Danny, the youngest co-owner of the Finnegan siblings' pub, boosts a wildly expensive diamond as a favor for a friend, Kieran decides to return it. In the midst of the un-boosting, a gang of jewel thieves enters the store, takes Kieran hostage, and flees the scene. The FBI, under Frasier's lead, come hot on their heels. In a crazy twist of fate Kieran saves Craig's life and ends up becoming a target for another, murderous, gang of jewel thieves who believe she knows too much. Naturally, love blooms even while she worries he'll discover the real reason she was in the store in the first place. This is not one of Graham's best.

Starred review from April 15, 2016

Although Kieran Finnegan's real job is as a criminal psychologist, she often helps out at her family's Irish pub, a lower Manhattan fixture that she now owns with her three brothers. Finnegan's is a warm, friendly place that welcomes all comers--until a rash of diamond heists and their deadly copycat thefts bring Kieran and FBI agent Craig Frasier together in a bewildering search that seems to lead right back to the bar, raising unwanted suspicions. A savvy, observant heroine with an unknown murderer on her trail and an intuitive G-man discover romance as well as danger as they track down a band of clever killers. Enriched by authentic family concerns and vivid descriptions, this tale will make fans yearn for a Finnegan's of their own. VERDICT Intricate, fast-paced, and intense, this riveting thriller blends romance and suspense in perfect combination and keeps readers guessing and the tension taut until the very end. Graham (Bougainvillea) lives in southern Florida.
