     Johnson, former contestant on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, tells her story of sudden loss and the earnest search for true love in front of the camera. When Johnson was 18, she was living with her longtime boyfriend when he suddenly died in a helicopter crash. Days after his death, she found out she was pregnant. Johnson shares her journey as a young and inexperienced single mom actively grieving, detailing the difficulties moving from job to job before a friend sent a letter on her behalf to the producers of The Bachelor. Viewers of the program know that Johnson won the coveted final rose of the competition, but her engagement was short-lived. A few years later, she appeared on The Bachelorette, and once again the subsequent relationship soured. Now married, Johnson firmly believes that her happily-ever-after finally arrived when she stopped running from God. Johnson is candid about struggles with her faith and shares snippets of her stop/start relationship with God throughout the text, but readers looking for an in-depth commitment to Christ will be disappointed.
