New adult romance star Crownover (Nash, 2014) continues her Marked Men series with this tale about Salem Cruz, who is good at running away from her problems. Ever since she escaped her tiny Texas town and her overbearing father, she has been living the life of a vagabond. When she is offered a job in Denver at one of the best tattoo joints in the business, she takes it, but only after learning that Rowdy St. James, a boy from her past, works there. Rowdy hates the idea of love. The people he loves always seem to abandon him. So when Salem shows up, he avoids her. If he doesn't talk to her, then she can't leave him behind again. Rowdy's plan doesn't last long, and the two slowly start to rekindle their old friendship before realizing that their relationship has always been more than friendly. Full of intimate yet spicy scenes, this novel takes readers on an emotional ride.
