The Wedding Chapel
(Adobe EPUB eBook, Kindle Book, OverDrive Read)
From New York Times bestselling author of The Wedding Dress comes The Wedding Chapel.
A lonely wedding chapel built as a tribute to lost love just might hold the long-awaited secret to hope and reconciliation.
For sixty years, the wedding chapel has stood silent and empty. Retired football hall-of-famer Jimmy "Coach" Westbrook built the chapel by hand, stone by stone, for his beautiful and beloved Collette Greer, whom he lost so many years ago. The chapel is a sanctuary for his memories, a monument to true love, and a testament to his survival of the deepest pain and loss.
Photographer Taylor Branson left her hometown of Heart's Bend, Tennessee, to make a new life for herself in New York. She had lots to run away from, not least of all a family history of broken promises and broken dreams. Love catches Taylor off guard when she falls for Jack Forester, a successful advertising executive, and their whirlwind romance leads to an elopement—then to second guesses. Jack, in spite of his very real love for Taylor, is battling his own demons and struggles to show her his true self and the depths of his love for her.
Taking a photography assignment in Heart's Bend, Taylor is thrown back into a past of family secrets buried deep beneath the sands of time. When Taylor and Coach's journeys collide, they each rediscover the heartbeat of their own dreams as they learn that the love they long to hold is well worth the wait.

It's 1948 in Heart's Bend, Tennessee. Jimmy Westbrook's friend, Clem, has just shown him a picture of his orphaned cousins from England, who are coming to live with his family. One look at the photo of pretty Collette, and young Jimmy is in love. When he meets her in person, he knows she's his heart's desire and builds a wedding chapel to celebrate their love. But Collette has plans that go beyond Heart's Bend and accepts a role in a soap opera that becomes the longest running show on TV. Sixty-one years later, Jimmy is still separated from his beloved Collette. Collette's niece, Taylor, a professional photographer, is beginning to doubt her marriage to high-demand PR expert Jack Forester, the result of a brief courtship and hasty elopement. Hauck (How to Catch a Prince, 2015) deftly takes these two loose-end romances and weaves together an unforgettable story of hope and the durability of true love. Hauck's moving, faith-based novel will appeal to a broad audience.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2015, American Library Association.)

For 60 years the wedding chapel that "Coach" Westbrook had built for the long-lost love of his life has stood empty. Six months after a short courtship and quick elopement, Taylor and Jack's marriage has gone stale. Instead of "I love you" they trade barbs, each one more hurtful than the next. Then a photography assignment brings Taylor back to her hometown of Heart's Bend, TN, and the chapel that reveals its power to mend broken marriages and hearts. VERDICT Hauck (How To Catch a Prince) has crafted a masterly romance that depicts the truth about real love: it's hard, messy, and unforgettable. The author's characters burst from the pages in an emotional journey that will be remembered long after the novel is finished. Hauck fans will savor, and so will readers who believe in true love that lasts a lifetime and beyond. Once again, she proves why she is a master of this genre.
