Sheriff’s deputy Alex learns about bones found at the construction site of the town’s new casino. He tells his best friend, rough-around-the-edges biker Vince Grossier, about them—and dies in a car accident before Vince can find out anything more. Convinced that Alex was murdered by the casino’s developers, Vince begins to investigate. He doesn’t reckon on finding an unlikely sidekick: slick city girl Kim Paget, a freelance photographer who’s been hired to take shots of the work site. McKenna ratchets up sexual chemistry and danger in equal measure, and tension stays high to the end. Readers will eagerly turn pages to learn the outcome of both the mystery and the romance.
