        While purists may swear by the traditional New York–style cheesecake, the variety of possibilities for cream cheese (sometimes alongside marshmallow crème and/or Cool Whip) in dessert form is vast and enticing as presented by debut author Brubaker, known for her blog Inside BruCrew Life. She offers 75 cheesecake recipes, including an “out of the box” chapter featuring recipes such as hot chocolate cheesecake dip, chocolate mint cheesecake ball, and fruit cheesecake cookie pizza. Her cherry cheesecake brownies and bakeless raspberry lemon cream cheesecake parfaits, served in mason jars, are picnic worthy. A Funfetti Cheesecake Pie, decorated with generous helpings of rainbow sprinkles, gives a new twist on a festive, colorful birthday cake, while a decadent rocky road cheesecake is ideal to cap off a dinner party. First-person headnotes lend a friendly tone and recipes are numbered and straightforward, ideal for all skill levels. This is a down-to-earth dessert book that’s sure to satisfy.
