Senior dogs need special care, and there is nothing more sacred then being there for your pet when they reach this stage of their life. This isn't the type of book where we're going to tell you to get a CT scan every month, consult a celebrity dog psychic working on the Lifetime Channel, put your dog on a waiting list for a heart transplant "just in case," or feed you dog organic liver from some semi-endangered back footed duck that can only be imported by rocket ship from Paris. We're not looking to break your bank account. Instead, we offer tried-and-true recommendations for helping to deal with a number of issues including arthritis, seizures, dementia, incontinence, old dog vestibular disease, weight management and giving medication. We have decades of experience running Little Old Dog Sanctuary, a home and hospice for senior and special needs dogs. This book is an honest account of what has, and has not, worked for our dogs.
